One of the most expensive parts of going on furlough is travel.  While plane tickets can cost us upwards of $700 or more, we do our best to scout for discounts and deals and buy our tickets well in advance to take advantage of the lowest prices possible.  We generally spend about $450 each for furlough plane tickets.
We will also need to fly from some locations to the next during our travels throughout the US, so any little bit would be a great help!
