One of the single mothers we serve in ministry was recently diagnosed with diabetes.  We took her to a doctor we trust to begin the process of getting her medicine but then we found out that a local clinic supported by the government offers the treatments for free.  Even though the doctor had consulted with her a couple times already and we had blood tests done to confirm her diagnosis, the clinic requires to start the process from the beginning using their doctors, their labs, and being prescribed their medicine.  So, although it seemed like two steps forward and three steps back, it is important to get her registered with the local clinic as she may be taking medicine and getting checkups for diabetes for the duration of her life.
